process of being updated to reflect some people who have trouble

have been done.
My appologies
RAMONA WILSON

Aged 16, was hitchhiking to her friends home in Smithers, BC on June
11, 1994. Ramona's remains were found April 1995 near the Smithers
Airport.
Every year on Ramona's birthday, the Wilson family gathers at the
site for a memorial, a heartbreaking ritual that she said will
continue until the case is solved

Ramona's friend Kristal says:
Ramona was such
a dear friend and a young woman with more drive than anyone else I
knew at age 15. She had hopes and dreams for her life, and was not
one to let anyone near her suffer. The biggest thing she ever
taught me was that things happen for a reason, and the creator has a
purpose for everyone and all events. I still wonder what the
purpose of her murder was, but I know that I have to look to the
future as opposed to sitting back and wondering why things happen.
**********
I was Ramona Wilson's best friend
and also one of the last people to see Delphine Nikal. Both were dear friends
of mine here in Smithers. Over the years it has gotten away from us all. There
is a lack of support services and a lot of people, including myself, lead busy
lives and therefore don't have the time
ROXANNE THIARA
Aged 15 disappeared from Prince George, went missing in Nov, 1994.
Her body was discovered dumped near Burns Lake.
“Roxanne was the best friend of one of my foster daughters, Piper.
Roxanne was a beautiful, lively girl but very sad. Her first words
to me were, “I’m no good, just like my real mom”. She meant her
birth mother, not her adoptive mother. Of course, I tried to assure
her that making mistakes doesn’t make anyone “no good”. She didn’t
believe me.
The last time I met her was when she came to
visit us in Quesnel. She and Piper played in our yard for hours.
They built tunnels through the new snow until they were exhausted
and screaming with laughter. It was so much fun to watch them
playing like little kids. This was when Roxanne was 15, just a short
time before she was murdered.
Piper has also gone missing and her friends say she was murdered
by her boyfriend. How long are we going to put up with this
slaughter of our young women? We criticize countries where girls
and women are killed at random but are we really so different? “

It is with the deepest thanks I send this note regarding all the
effort you, and everyone involved, have put into your efforts to
bring to light the tragedy that has befallen so many young people
along highway 16. I feel that you have given the voice to the
victims, and their families and friends that has been sorely missing
from those that have been entrusted with the responsibility of
solving these tragic, and horrible circumstances. If more attention
is brought to the many mysteries that have lived and lie along this
lonesome stretch of road- and the communities that live along it-
perhaps it will bring a long overdue spotlight to this part of our
province, the crimes that beset it, and those that are PAID and
ENTRUSTED to SERVE US, ultimately bringing an end to the vanishings
and tears...

From Leah's (Alisha) aunt Connie
........the
memories came flooding back along with the heartache. It has been 11
long years since she was taken from us but it still feels like
yesterday.
I will never forget my sister Debbie's anguish, anger and
frustration of not knowing why and who did this to her little girl.
Deb died last year without the closure she really needed concerning
Leah's death. She never truly got over the way Leah died.
I will never forget how this affected my Mom (Leah's Grama Alma)
after she went to the morgue to identify her body. It broke her
heart...
And as for myself , I have had to deal with the fact that when Leah
and I last saw each other, it was on rather bad terms. We both said
some things to each other that I will regret for the rest of my
life. Let this be a lesson to all you people out there...the tongue
can be mightier than the sword and you can't take back words! Learn
how to say you're sorry and forgive before it's too late.
When Leah was young I had the pleasure of her living with my family
and I, a couple of times. She was so full of life, always smiling
with that big *pieface*...(she didn't like that nic too much), she
loved kisses, her kitty Pookie but especially her Mom, and Dad Ken
Pirie. She was also a very strongwilled, stubborn little girl with a
mind of her own but oh so sweet inside....
I would like to speak up for Leah (Alisha) and my sister Debbie from the
grave.
To the friends of Leah who knew her on the streets of Prince
George....we are still waiting and praying that you will come
forward even after all these years. You all know who did this to her
and Roxanne (Leah's friend)...just recently, one of you has come
forward to the R.C.M.P. in Prince George but we need more witnesses
to this case. Please ...if you have any kind of conscience help us
take this wacko killer off the streets of P.G.
This person(s) is still out there walking around free as a bird but
deserves to rot in prison.
The police told me they need more than one person to come forward to
make a statement...please, for Leah and her family and any other
victims or possible victims.
Enough is enough!
